Applications are invited for the prestigious School of Psychology International Undergraduate Scholarship for Academic Excellence 2012.
The scholarships have been created to attract the best international students to the School, who will contribute to its intellectually vibrant and diverse environment.
The scholarships will be worth £2,000 (for the first year of study only) towards the cost of tuition fees, and are offered to nationals of any country paying international fees.
Applicants will be judged on the basis of an essay entitled, ‘Is Psychology a ‘real’ science? Discuss’, along with the information provided on their UCAS forms
Criteria
In order to be eligible for a scholarship, all of the four conditions below must have been satisfied:
- an application must have been made for a single honours degree course with the School of Psychology.
- the applicant must have received an offer of a place on such a single honours degree course.
- the University must have received confirmation of the applicant’s firm acceptance of the offer.
- the applicant must have demonstrated ability to fund their study programme.
How to apply
Submit an original essay of 1,500 words (maximum) entitled ‘Is Psychology a ‘real’ science? Discuss’, to psych-gen@kent.ac.uk by Friday 30th March 2012.
The School of Psychology reserves the right not to allocate the awards if the selection panel is unable to identify a suitable candidate. We expect to inform candidates whether or not they have been successful by Monday 16th April 2012.
